William Ernest Pitchford

William Ernest Pitchford, 87, of Murrayville, Ga.  passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Pitchford was born on January 23, 1928 in Hall County to the late Homer and Mattie Smith Pitchford. He was retired from Georgia Power Company after 41 years of service. He was Master Mason and long standing deacon and trustee of Concord Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Rhonda Gail Pitchford. Mr. Pitchford is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Braganza Forrester Pitchford ; his son and wife Ira and  Judy Pitchford ; grandchildren, Melissa Pitchford Wilson, Billy Pitchford, Melinda Pitchford Garland ; great-grandchildren, Kayla Marchbanks, Cody Marchbanks, Mattie Earley, Alexandra Early, Anna Grace Garland. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at Concord Baptist Church in Clermont with interment to follow. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Strickland Funeral Home in Clermont.          Strickland Funeral Home, Clermont.
