Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Emmett Louis “Pete” Rohme, age 74 of Athens, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, October 17, 2015. Mr. Rohme was born in Fredricksburg, Virginia, the son of the late James and Pearl Graves Rohme, was a member of the Tyrus Baptist Church and was a retired Welder. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rohme is preceded by a brother; Kenneth Rohme and a sister; Nancy Schultz.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Tolbert Rohme of Athens, three daughters and their husbands; Debra and Timmy Parks of Carlton, Stacy and Curt Fleming of Arnoldsville, Missy and Bill Bentley of Winterville. Two sons and their wives; Jeff and Tammy Rohme of Lexington, Mike and Renee Rohme of Lexington. Brother; John Rohme of Colonial Beach, Virginia. Eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson, Georgia. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Tony Ledbetter, Rayburn Shelnut, Spencer Parks, Ricky Reeves, Matthew Fleming and Jordan Brown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 19, 2015, 7 – 9 P.M..
