Mr. Jimmy C. Whitlock, age 73, of Commerce, GA died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Whitlock was born in Jefferson to the late Samuel Lee and Ethel Wilson Whitlock. He was a member of the Baptist faith and a United States Army veteran. Mr. Whitlock was retired from Reliance Electric.
Mr. Whitlock is survived by his wife, Mary Ivester Whitlock of Commerce; daughter, Brenda Whitlock of Fayetteville; sisters, Mary Brooks of Athens, Carolyn Autry of Manteca, CA and Eleanor Yates of Bakersfield, CA; and brother, Max Whitlock of Nicholson.
Funeral services will be at noon, Saturday, October 17 graveside at Jackson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Stowers officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
