Mr. Albert James Morrow, age 93 of 4870 Talmadge Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A son of the late John Nelson and Agnes Ogletree Morrow, he was born May 17, 1922 in Randolph County, Alabama having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran. He served in the CCC in Prineville, Oregon. He was retired from Coats and Clark, a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the VFW.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Sarah Hallford Morrow; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Shelia Morrow of Toccoa and Greg and Denise Morrow of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Andrew Morrow, Alexis Bertoldo, Chelsea Weston, Bobby Holderfield and Sherry O’Kelley; great-grandchildren, Misty Cleveland, Brad York and Will Holderfield.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 14, 3 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Greg Morrow, Mr. Danny Yearwood and The Reverend Alvin Burns officiating The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Greg Morrow, Mike Morrow, Andrew Morrow, Charles Morrow, Leon Morrow and Nelson Morrow.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM and Wednesday from 2 PM until the service time.
Flowers are to be omitted. Interment will follow in the Mt. Bethel Church of God Cemetery with The Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Albert James Morrow.
