Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2015 in Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mildred Garrison, age 82, of Gillsville. Rev. Bradley Elliott will officiate. Interment will follow in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Garrison entered Heaven on October 10, 2015.
Mildred was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church where she served as a Deacons wife, Sunday School teacher, VBS leader and GA Counselor She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Paul Garrison.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Ann Garrison; daughter and son in law, Paula and Ron Whiting; grandson and family, Chris, Deena, Alexandria and McKenna Whiting of Gillsville; grandson and family, Shannon, Cortney,Daniel and Kaitlyn Whiting of Flowery Branch; sisters, Bertha Whitlock, Floy Smith Wood and Gladys Cain; sister in law, Ruby Benton.
