Jacquelyne (Jackie) Denard Reed

          Jacquelyne “Jackie” Denard Reed, 90, of Oakwood passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton following an extended illness.

                Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Sam Parson and Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reed was born on April 17, 1925 in Tignall, GA to the late Jeptha Lamar Denard and Pearl Elizabeth Norman Denard. She worked at Dundee Mills and was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Orr Reed; sister, Peggy Gail Breaden; brother, Marion Simpson Denard.

                Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Philip Casper of Gainesville; granddaughter, Ashley Casper; grandson and wife, Jeromy and Caitlin Casper; great grandchildren, Wyatt Casper and Chandler Melton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence B. and Jean Denard of Dawsonville, Wendell Lamar Denard and Ann Denard of Watkinsville; sister-in-law, Frances Denard of Dahlonega.
