Phillip "Yank" Stobaugh

Philip “Yank” Stobaugh, age 61, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

“Yank” was born June 21, 1954 in Evansville, Indiana. He spent his youth in Hawaii and later lived in Owensboro, KY before moving to Lumpkin County 25 years ago. He was a certified ASE Mechanic and was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late Charles William Stobaugh and Martha Denham Stobaugh and was also preceded in death by sisters, Sarah Logan and Charolett Weiland.

He is survived by his fiancé, Terisa Harkins, Dahlonega, GA; brothers, Steven Stobaugh, Louisville, KY and Micah Stobaugh, Evansville, Indiana. Several other relatives also survive.

A memorial gathering to celebrate “Yank’s” life will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 6 PM until 9 PM at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA.
