John Randle Day, 75, of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away October 2, 2015. He grew up and attended school in Pompano Beach, Fl. where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Ann. John’s career began as a sports writer for the Fort Lauderdale News. Subsequently John ventured into the marine field where he owned and published three marine publications. John retired from Electronics Unlimited, a marine electronics firm, in 1999. He loved sports and was an avid tennis player. In the years since his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church and was an active member of the Skylake Community.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Ann; children Shelley Marshall (Paul) of Atlanta, GA; Randy Day (Kelly) of Brentwood, TN and grandchildren Griffin, Reagan and Ashley Marshall; Andrew and Kristin Day.
A “Celebration” of John’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Nacoochee Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at the Skylake Clubhouse.
