Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Jimmy Coker, age 70 of Sautee Nacoochee. Mr. Coker passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Monday, October 5, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Hefner, Rev. Junior Abernathy and Rev. Raymond Fortner officiating.
Jimmy was born in White County on October 3, 1945 and retired from Talon. Jimmy was known for his kindness and the example of Christ he set before others. He is preceded in death by his son, Nathan Coker, father; Norman Adams; siblings, Clyde David, Linda David, Zeffer David; grandparents, Martha and Steve Coker. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Stamacia Partin Coker of Sautee; daughter Latisha “Peanut” Goodman (Greg) of Rock Springs, GA, McKenzie ‘Tinker” Coker of Cornelia; mother, Mary Lou David, Monroe; brother, Hugh Lee David, Monroe; brother in law, Chandler Partin, Cleveland; grandchildren, William Levi Goodman, Bryant Goodman, Cody Goodman and Jesse Coker; great grandchildren, Bryce Goodman, Brody Goodman, James Cole Goodman and Allie Sue Goodman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8pm. Flowers will be acknowledged, however it is requested it is request that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718
