The Homegoing service for Mrs. Arlene W. Underwood, age 76 of Gainesville, Georgia, will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1810 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Gainesville, Georgia 30501, Rev. Isaac Whitehead, Jr., senior pastor, officiating, Minister Evelyn Johnson eulogist. Remains placed in state at noon. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery. Cortege to assemble at 1155 Mill Street, Apartment L2, Gainesville, Georgia at noon. Visitation Friday, October 9, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Home. Wake 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters: Jacqueline L. Underwood, Leroy (Catherine D. “Cat”)Ramsey and Barbara Ann Davenport, all of Gainesville, Georgia; son, Corey Kinta Hopkins, Gainesville, Georgia; brother, Willie (Shirley) Watkins, Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters: Charlie (Barbara) McIntosh, Leon (Evelyn) Holcomb, and Carlyon Mize, all of Gainesville, Georgia; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
