Robert Earl “Bobby” Cane

Robert Earl “Bobby” Cane, age 59, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.

Bobby was born May 9, 1956 in Norwich, NY and had lived in Lumpkin County since 1978. He was retired from Mincey Marble Manufacturing Co. in Gainesville and was of the Christian faith. Bobby served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp.

He was the son of the late David and Alice Snell Cane and was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Seabolt.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Moose Cane, Dahlonega, GA; children, Angie Shockley, Demorest, GA, Shane Gable, Dahlonega, GA, David Gable, Dahlonega, GA, Wendy Cane, Jacksonville, FL, Candy Cane, Jacksonville, FL, Michael Gable, Demorest, GA, and Kerry Cane, Dahlonega, GA; brother, David Cane, Dawsonville, GA. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Bobby are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Tim Griffin and Rev. Curtis Moose will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Yahoola Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
