Raymond Larry Harrelson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Raymond Larry Harrelson, age 73, of Hoschton, who passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Mr. Harrelson was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, a son to the late Clarence and Dena Beatrice McGee Harrelson. Mr. Harrelson was a member of the Galilee Christian Church and was a District Manager in commercial transportation. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harrelson was preceded in death by his aunt, Myrtle McGee, uncles, Elmo and Ed McGee and brother in law, Barry Parker.

Survivors include his wife Mary Sammie Harrelson, of Hoschton, daughters, Darla Ferrell and her husband Randy of Simpsonville, SC, Kimberly Blackwell and Tonya Garcia both of Anderson, SC; step-daughter, Jennie Parr of Winder; sister, Debbie Parker, Hickory, NC, brother, Bradley Harrelson and wife JoAnn of Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Tory, Miranda, Noah and Jordan; aunt, Faye McGee of Newton, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Minister Tom Plank and Minister Nick Vipperman officiating. The burial will follow in the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5-8pm at Evans Funeral Home.
