Doris Frances Harris Bardwell

Doris Frances Harris Bardwell, 91, of Dawsonville, GA passed away September 27, 2015. Born in Atlanta, GA she is the daughter of the late Clyde and Alice Harris. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jewel L. Bardwell, son, Wayne L. Bardwell and sister, Jane Cooper.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Sue B. and Walker Pelot of Buford, GA;  Donna B. and Ronnie Bailey of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan  Pelot, Jennifer Glover, Carmen Daniel, Julie Clotfelter, Curtis Bardwell, and Denise McRae; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Mildred Tribble; daughter-in-law, Carole Bardwell, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Doris Bardwell was an active member of Beecher Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta for many years. As a member of First Baptist Atlanta, she joyfully served as a “Lady of the Cloth” for the Atlanta Passion Play.  Doris was devoted to her Lord, Jesus Christ and her family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2015 in the McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Thursday 4:00-6:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
