Mrs. Catherine Stonecypher Williams Carter age 87 of 414 North Clarks Creek Road, Martin passed away Saturday September 26, 2015 at Greenville Health System.
A daughter of the late Charles and Viola Simmons Stonecypher, she was born on August 14, 1928 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens and Franklin Counties. She was employed with the Stephens County Hospital for a number of years and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband Benson Williams, a daughter Jean Williams and two brothers Frank and Carl Stonecypher.
Survivors include her husband Dan Carter of the home, two daughters and son-in-law Gail and Charles Lathan and Cindy Graham of Toccoa, one son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Cathy Williams of Toccoa, five grandchildren Alicia Barclift, Josh Lathan, Zachary Graham, Cailan Graham and Kayse Graham a one great-grandchild Noah King, one sister Barbara Akin of Toccoa.
Funeral Services will be held at Liberty Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 29 at 2 P.M. with the Reverend Tommy Childress and the Reverend Shawn Croninger officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
Interment will follow in Roselane Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Brian Akin, Jeff Akin, Willie Simmons, Noah King, Heath Stonecypher and Mel Graham.
