Mr. Thomas Harvey Brown age 79 of Gainesville passed away on Saturday September 26, 2015 at Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday September 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 29, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown was born on January 16, 1936 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Robert E. Brown and Margaret Wyand Brown. He was of the Methodist Faith and was retired. He worked for Crucible Steel and Lordstown General Motors. He was owner and operator of The 7 & 30 Superette and The Chat N Chew. He lived in East Liverpool, Ohio through 1997 then he moved to Gainesville, Georgia where he enjoyed the remainder of his life on Lake Lanier. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Margaret McGinnis Brown, wife, Shirley Brown, daughter, Stephanie Maroney, brothers, Robert C. Brown, Homer Brown, and Ed McGinnis, sister, Audrey Brown.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Butch Davis of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Mickey and Tim Davenport of Cumming, grandchildren, Amiee Board, Angie Carver, Tyler Davenport, Caylin Davenport, and Elizabeth Davis, great-grandchildren, Thomas, Kristofer, Alexis, Bailey, Harmony and Gunner, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Eva Jean Shinton of East Liverpool, Ohio, sister, Delores Humphrey of Springfield, Ohio. And a number of nieces and nephews.
