Evelyn Gibbs Dalton

Evelyn Gibbs Dalton, age 88, of Alto, GA passed away Friday, September 25, 2015. Mrs. Dalton was born May 29, 1927 in Cornelia, GA to the late Hugh H. and Maggie Berrong Gibbs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mercer Dalton; sister, Katherine Hogsed; and brother, Hamilton Gibbs. Mrs. Dalton was a homemaker and was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dalton is survived by her daughter and spouse, Patricia and Lee Gore of Evans, GA; son and spouse, Robert and Judy Dalton of Alto, GA; four grandchildren, Jason Dalton, Jenny Pittman, Robin Hamrick and John Gore; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 28, 2015 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Frank Sailers officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M. on the day of the funeral.
