Donald D. Brown

               Donald D. Brown of Gainesville, GA passed away on September 22, 2015 at the age of 92. He was born on March 16, 1923 in Cleveland, GA to the late Clara Mae Brown and Albert J. Brown. During World War II, he was a decorated member of the Army Air Force and served as a Fire Fighter at the air base on Guam. He retired home to Gainesville where he met and married the love of his life, the late Grace Ashe Brown, They were married for 62 years. Don was dearly loved by all of his friends.

               Don was a supervisor for Alterman Foods and Food Giant for 37 years. He was a member of Cumming Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and father. He was a sweet hearted man that touched many lives.

               His survivors include his daughters; Donna Brown, Joy Brown and Deena Sheram and her husband Stan Sheram. His surviving grandchildren are Alicia Ward and Kellie Davis along with her husband Michael, and their children, Gavin and Evelyn Grace. He was preceded in death by his wife and grandson, Ashton Ward.

               Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Barry Crocker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service.
