Mr. David Wesley King, born in Marietta, Georgia on May 16th, 1967 departed this life on September 21, 2015 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his son Evan Wesley King and his father David Eugene King.
David was a devoted, loving husband to his wife Stacy Harper King of 27 years. He adored and loved his son Lawson David King (19 years) and daughter Sydney Frances King (16 years) with his whole heart. David is also survived by his mother, Carol Ann King, of Marietta, GA; Sister Stacy Ann Hale, her husband Michael and their daughter Christina of Powder Springs, GA; Sister Amanda Carol Underwood, her husband Dr. Kirk Underwood and their children Ethan and Madison of Kennesaw, GA.
David graduated from the University of Georgia and went on to own and operate the successful greenhouse business, Chestatee Growers in Forsyth County since 1997. He was generous for years in his donations and personal delivery of flowers to many people. His beautiful flowers helped send Gainesville/Hall County youth to Young Life Camp where they had the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ and grow in their faith.
David enjoyed participating in all of his children’s sports activities including golf, football, baseball, fishing, volley ball and wake boarding. David will be remembered fondly by his family and many friends as an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was energetic and could light a room within a minute of his presence with his genuine smile, laughter, and sincere interest in others.
David was a man of strong faith. He was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Attending the Marietta Camp Meeting was a lifelong tradition that he loved with all of his King cousins and extended family. The ten day revival and family gathering was something he looked forward to each summer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a college fund for Sydney and Lawson King located at Peach State Bank and Trust.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Gainesville First United Methodist Church (2780 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30506) on Friday, September 25, 2015.48
The family will receive guests from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at the church.
The graveside service will be at Alta Vista Cemetery following the funeral service. Dr. Terry Walton and Reverend Keith Cox will officiate.
