Mrs. Virginia Lucille McCroskey Jenkins, age 83 of 167 Queen Street, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.
A daughter of the late John L. and Lula Murray McCroskey, she was born April 2, 1932 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Southern Craftsman Company in Habersham County and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Jenkins in 2006 and by a brother, John L. McCroskey.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Glenda Garner of Toccoa, Judy Cole of Canton, Georgia, Deborah Torres of Clarkesville, Georgia, Anita Farmer of Commerce, Georgia, Teresa and Neal Smith of Eastanollee, Georgia and Connie Jenkins of Clarkesville, Georgia; sons, Dusty Farmer of Palm Coast, Florida, Roger Farmer of Kathleen, Georgia and Don Farmer of Pensacola, Florida; twenty one grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Benny McCroskey and Bobby McCroskey both of Toccoa; sisters, Flossie Wilbanks of Clayton, Georgia and Carolyn Carter of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 25, 11 O’clock AM at Mullins Ford Baptist Church with The Reverend Dr. Benny Turner and Mr. Zach Smith officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Zach Smith, Mark Pittman, Dusty Farmer, Miguel Torres, Dale Cole and Chris Cole.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
Interment will follow in the Mullins Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Virginia Lucille McCroskey Jenkins.
