Carol Anne (Rey) Scanlin

Carol Anne (Rey) Scanlin, 61, of Gainesville,  died Saturday, Sept. 19, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. Carol was born Oct. 16, 1953 in Decatur, Georgia, to Robert and Connie (Waller) Rey and lived all of her life in Gainesville, Georgia. 

She is survived by her children, Catherine “Carter” (Ginger) Marshall, William (Bridget) Scanlin, and Jamie Scanlin; grandson Zachary Scanlin; sister Catherine (Dr. Greg) Rey DeLong; brothers-in-law Paul (Denise) Scanlin and Thomas (Tommye) Scanlin; sisters-in-law Jean Scanlin Wright and Joan (Buddy) Scanlin Jordan; uncle Jim (Susan) Waller; aunt Nonie Waller Hale; and many other extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Graveside service to be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Alta Vista Cemetery, 521 Jones St, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
