Evelyn Imogene Anderson

Mrs. Evelyn Imogene Anderson, age 80, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living in Gainesville following a period of declining health.

Born March 17, 1935 to parents, Arthur and Ada Grizzle Anderson, Evelyn  was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was a homemaker and a member of Cavender’s Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, William Gladstone “Glad” Anderson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Donna Anderson of Dahlonega and son, Wayne Anderson, of Hall County; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Irene Anderson, of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Chastain, Joseph and Ashley Anderson and Ellie and Emma Anderson. Four great-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Cavender’s Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Stephen Adams and Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Dahlonega Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and again on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cavenders Creek Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org
