Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Delbert Tony Oliver, age 76 of Cleveland. Delbert passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kyle Savage officiating . Interment will follow in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
Delbert was born in Hall County on March 23, 1939 to the late James Olver and Loutine Clark Oliver. He was a retired truck driver for Country Pride Foods and later was employed with Walmart, where he done what he loved most which was talking to his friends and meeting new people, always with a smile. Delbert will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature as well as his sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Parker Oliver of Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Nancy and Bradley Bates of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Bates and Stacey Danielle Bates as well as sisters Doris Oliver and Judy Oliver both of Gainesville.
