John Evans, 50, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday September 17, 2015 at Emory University Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born June 28, 1965 to the late Jack and Barbara Evans, John had been a resident of Dawsonville for almost 30 years. An electrician since high school, he owned and operated Capital Electric Company for the last 13 years. He also previously served as a volunteer firefighter for Dawson County. An avid NASCAR fan and outdoorsman, he will be remembered as a loving friend and family man.
Surviving are his children, Brittany Evans and Bart Richardson, Dawsonville, Cody Evans and Merissa Wormlight, Gainesville; grandchildren, Bradley Richardson, Presley Evans; Fiancé, Stacy Golden, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Jacky and Margaret Evans, Dawsonville, Tommy and Tammy Evans, Hickory Flats; sisters and brothers in law, Betty and Tiny Mitchell, Woodstock, Vicky and Allen Duran, Cumming; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday September 20, 2015 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Chuck Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow at 4 o’clock at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home.
