Lou Emma Rogers

Lou Emma Rogers, 92, of Gainesville passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Atlanta Medical Center following a sudden illness.

               Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

               Ms. Rogers was born on May 30, 1923 in Gainesville to the late Dewey and Elsie Parker Shockley. She was retired from Gainesville Mill and was of Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike Christian Schwarz; brother, Kermit Shockley; sister, Helen Cash- Davis; daughter, Linda Sheriff.

               Ms. Rogers is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Sam Wilson of Stockbridge and Jo Ann and Ang Bullard of Hampton; grandson and fiancé Ed Flowers and Kathy Davis of Gainesville; great grandson, William Flowers of Gainesville; great granddaughters, Moriah Taylor of Gainesville and Ashley Wilson of McDonough; great grandsons, Steven Wilson and Sean Wilson both of McDonough.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
