Richard Lee Schwartz

Richard Lee Schwartz, 87, of Clermont, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at his residence.

Born on November 10, 1927, in Harrisburg, IL, Mr. Schwartz had lived in Hall County for a number of years. He was the son of the late Herman and Coral Boatwright Schwartz. Mr. Schwartz was retired from United Cities Gas Co. having worked there 43 years, serving as the area manager. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Schwartz and brother, Fred Schwartz.

Mr. Schwartz is survived by his sons, James L. Schwartz, John R. Schwartz both of Clermont; daughter, Jayne E. Tanner of Braselton; sister, Mary E. Chase of Alton, IL; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Alta Vista Cemetery. Dr. Phil DeMore will officiate. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
