Hazel Conley Stubbs

Mrs. Hazel Conley Stubbs, age 79 of Gainesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center surrounded by her family.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Clack Stubbs will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Stubbs was born November 30, 1935 in Athens, Georgia to the late George Samuel Conley and Ruby Patterson Conley Wood.  She retired from Franklin County School System and was a member of Air Line Baptist Church.  Hazel was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Deborah Conley Coker.

            Mrs. Stubbs is survived by her husband of 61 years, Reverend Clack Stubbs of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Tammy & Bernard Betts of Montreal, Canada, son & daughter-in-law, Mark & Paula Stubbs of Flowery Branch, grandchildren, Keri (Lance) Carpenter, Kyle (Abby) Stubbs, Seth Strickland, Zachary Strickland, Tristan Betts, Rachel Betts and Andrea Betts, 5 great-grandchildren and brothers & sisters-in-law, Douglas & Mary Ann Conley of Monroe, Georgia and Wayne & Janice Conley of Cornelia.

            The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Camp Hope, c/o Chattahoochee Baptist Association, 1220 McEver Road, Gainesville, GA 30504.
