Ms. Gwendolyn Maxine Chambers, age 49 of Chestnut Mountain, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Clark Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 3 - 8 pm and Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 2 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
Ms. Chambers was born December 16, 1965 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late William Alton Chambers and Ida Carolyn Smith. She was employed with Ingles Grocery as a Manager and was a member of Mercy Baptist Church.
Ms. Chambers is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, William Bradley & Tonya Minor of Demorest, Georgia and Charles Patrick & Amy Chancy Minor of Nicholson, Georgia, grandchildren, Taylor, Will, Triston, Morgan, Emily, Jaiden, Tyler, Braylynn and Delilah, sisters, Gayle Sipes of Dawsonville, Denise Head of Cleveland and Renee Rainwater of Gainesville and brothers, Mike Chambers of Gainesville, Larry Chambers of Clermont and John Smith of Cleveland.
