Charles Thomas Forrester of Dacula, GA passed from his earthly home on Sunday, September 13, 2015 after a seven year battle with Multiple Myeloma to live forever in Heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on October 15, 1938 in Woodruff, SC, the forth of eight children, of the late A. D. and Cecil Forrester. He is also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters in-law, Sherrill Moseley, Randal Andrews, Becky Forrester, Barbara Forrester and Monna Kinkead. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Clyta Kinkead Forrester; son and daughter in-law, Ron and Sue Forrester of Urbandale, IA, daughter and son in-law, Sara and Will Barnett of Suwanee, GA. He was deeply loved by his grandchildren, Bryna and Marcus Mobley, Jake Forrester, Macy Barnett and Emily Barnett; great-grandchildren, Clayr and Ava Mobley; sisters and brothers, Addie Moseley, Curt Forrester, Cody Forrester, Carl and Betty Ann Forrester, Audrey and Wilbur Jones, Adale Andrews, Claudell and Joan Forrester, Ray Kinkead and a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews. Charles was a 1956 graduate of Woodruff High School, Woodruff, SC and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired after 37 years in Industrial Sales with General Electric. Charles became a Christian at age 17 and faithfully served his Lord for the rest of his life as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member and as an inspiration during his illness to many kind and loving friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Buford, GA, Teacher of the Upper Room Sunday School Class and a member of the Silvertones Choir. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Buford, GA. Rev. Stephen Fountain and Rev. Wayne Johnson will officiate. Charles will lie in state from noon until 1:00 PM at the church. Interment will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the Mission Ministry of First Baptist Church, Buford.
