Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Evelyn Annie Davis, age 82, of Jefferson, who passed away on September 9, 2015.
Mrs. Davis was born in Jefferson, Georgia, a daughter to the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. and Selick Susan Whitlock Martin. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and worked at the Jefferson Mills and the BJC Hospital.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Davis Sr., brothers, Elmer Martin and Eugene Martin.
Survivors include her sons and daughter in law, Edward and Dana Davis of Savannah, Alan Davis of Jefferson; sisters and brothers in law, Johnnie and Earl Carithers, Ruby and Harold Lord all of Jefferson; grandchildren, Ashlie Wilson and Nicky Dorsey, Lindsey Waldrop, Megan and Kevin Wilson and a great grandchild, Evelyn Belle Dorsey.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 3:00pm in the Victory Baptist Church in Jefferson with Rev. Danny Heal officiating.
