Ruth Ayers Wilbanks

Ruth Ayers Wilbanks, age 93, of Baldwin, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2015 following an extended illness. 

Mrs. Wilbanks was born on April 13, 1922 in Toccoa, Georgia to the late Curtis U. and Gertrude Chitwood Ayers.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, G. T. Wilbanks, Jr.; sisters, Pauline Galloway and Wilma Maxwell.  She was a member of Lamar Christian Church.  Mrs. Wilbanks was retired from Coats and Clark, Inc. with 28 years of loyal and dedicated service.  

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda W. and Karl Harris, Demorest, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Gloria Wilbanks, Baldwin, GA, Marshall and Joy Wilbanks, Baldwin, GA; son, Franklin Wilbanks, Baldwin, GA; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with David Terrell and Linda Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015.
