Nellie Mae Standridge

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Nellie Mae Standridge, age 98, of Jefferson, who passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Mrs. Standridge was born in Commerce, a daughter to the late Will and Hester Dill Barden. Mrs. Standridge was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and worked at Jefferson Mills. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Standridge was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Standridge, daughter, Wilma Ellen Jones, sister, Annie Bell Barden and brother, W.J. Barden.

Survivors include her children, Jean Jones (Clarence) Wall of Statham, Mary Sue (Kemp) Love, Gerald A. Standridge, Joey L. Standridge, Jeffrey (Brenda) Standridge all of Jefferson; 14 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Shelton and Rev. Dennis Barden officiating. The burial will follow in the Woodbine Cemetery with Greg Love, Tracy Standridge, Chris and Brandon Standridge, Spencer Love and Cutter Love honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Evans Funeral Home.
