Mr. Ronald David Bevins, age 59, of 185 Skyview Lane, Toccoa, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A son of the late Donald and Gloria Dansler Bevins, he was born in Sumpter, South Carolina and lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was a licensed minister of Life Point Ministries and pastored Ruhamah Pentecostal Holiness Church and later served as the nursing home director for The Ark Church in Toccoa. Mr. Bevins will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley King Bevins of the home; a son, Nick Hornick of the home; step-daughter, Marie Sellers of Loganville, GA; two step-sons, Peter King of Toccoa and Chris Howell of Athens; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Margaret Gailey of Lawrenceville, GA and Dona Powell of Griffin, GA; and brother, Marc Bevins of Fulton County, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 5:00 PM, at The Ark Church with the Reverend Jim Howard, Bishop Tim Lamb, and Bishop Bill Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 4 until 5 PM.
