Jesse H. Waugh

Jesse H. Waugh, age 72, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Virginia H. Waugh; daughter, Teresa Diane Waugh; and sister, Nancy Waugh.  He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Jennifer Evans Waugh; children, Casey N. Teaster, Flowery Branch, GA, and Kirsty A. and Misael Ramirez, Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Karli Ann Pirkle, Julian Alexander Ramirez, and Jaxen Anthony Ramirez; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Lynn Beckman, Swanton, MD, Nora Dusing, Berkeley Springs, WV, and Brigette Hausman, Berkeley Springs, WV; brothers and sister-in-law, A. C. Waugh, Anchorage, AK, Jay and Roxanne Waugh, Berkeley Springs, WV, and Tom Waugh, Berkeley Springs, WV; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Waugh was born November 12, 1942 in Berkeley Springs, WV.  He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and attended Columbus Technical Institute.  He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Army after twenty years of service, during which he served in Vietnam on three different tours.  He also retired from Meggitt Training Systems in Suwanee after twelve years of service.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going on two-week cruises every year.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Truelove officiating.  Interment, with military honors, will be held at Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus, GA at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 7, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org in memory of Jesse H. Waugh.
