Graveside services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday September 6, 2015 at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery for Mary Alice Williams, age 91 of Gainesville. The Rev. Marshall Dale will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Ward's Funeral Home. Ms. Williams passed away Friday September 4, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
A native of Oconee County, Ms. Williams was born October 24, 1923, to the late Charlie and Annie Buffington Williams and lived in Gainesville over 60 years. She worked in the textile and poultry industry. Mary was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, where she attended the Lebanon Camp Meeting every year. She had a beautiful flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Mattie Lee Williams.
Ms.Williams is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Miriam Williams, Gainesville, nieces, Connie Clark, Denise and Jody Rider, nephew, Ronnie and Cynthia Williams, great-nephews, Eric Clark, Charlie Williams, Tanner Williams and Clayton Rider and great-niece, Katie Clark.
