Gladys Peppers Hardison, 82, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Toccoa, GA died on August 30, 2015. Born in Buford, GA she was the daughter of the late Homer and Bessie Peppers. Her beloved husband, James Douglas Hardison also predeceased her.
Gladys and James were married in 1956 at the Avondale Church of Christ. She was a long time member of Toccoa Church of Christ. Gladys was a homemaker who loved cooking and gardening. She was very involved in Camp Fire Girls of America. She loved to travel to the mountains and the beach, and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Powers (Craig) Meadows of Cumming, GA and Norma “Beanie” Hardison (Britt) Buckner of Douglasville, GA; sister, Pauline Edwards of Loganville, GA; and much loved grandchildren, Kyle William Powers and James Clinton Buckner.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, GA.
