David C. Grizzle

David C. Grizzle, age 69, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

David was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was retired from North Georgia College and was a member of Nimblewill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

David was the son of the late Doc Tate Grizzle and Alma Cochran Grizzle and was also preceded in death by brothers, J.D. Grizzle and Russell Grizzle; and sister, Opal Satterfield.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Grizzle; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Valarie Grizzle, Jeff and Angel Grizzle; grandchildren, Jordan Grizzle and Megan Grizzle; brother and sister-in-law, R.C. and Marvene Grizzle, Sisters and brother-in-law, Inez West, Doris Weaver, Ann and Hoyt Ravan; and sister-in-law, Gail Grizzle, all of Dahlonega, GA.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for David are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Nimblewill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Mickey Wheeler will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 12 Noon until 9 PM and again on Wednesday from 12 Noon until service time.
