Joycelyn Thrasher, age 79 of Buford, GA died Saturday, August 29, 2015. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Wayne Johnson and Rev. Stephen Fountain will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Samaritan’s Purse Clean Water Ministry at www.samaritanspurse.org/water/pour-into-a-thirsty-world.  Joycelyn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Thrasher, Buford. Sister, Jacqueline Stephens, Buford. Joycelyn was a native and lifelong resident of Buford. She was a caregiver and attended First Baptist Church, Buford where she sang in the Silvertones Choir.
