M.C. Stowe

Mr. M.C. Stowe, age 87 of 345 Virginia Drive, Eastanollee, Georgia passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at his residence.

A son of the late Cross M. and Texie Busha Stowe, he was born September 30, 1927 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.  He was a retired U.S. Postal Service Worker having served as a rural carrier for 35 years.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a former member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher and Deacon. He was a member and former President of the Toccoa Lions Club and the District Governor of Lions Club, a Trustee of Toccoa Falls College and a member and past President of the NARFF. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Kelker Stowe in 2014 and by his daughter-in-law, Becky Stowe in 2015.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Sandra Stowe of Watkinsville, Georgia and Roy Stowe of Jefferson, Georgia; three grandchildren, Steven and Haylee Stowe and Nick Stowe. 

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 30, 2:30 PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jan Devereaux and The Reverend Shawn Croninger officiating. 

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 PM until the service time.

Flowers are to be omitted.  Memorials may be made to the Stowe Scholarship Fund c/o Toccoa Falls College, P.O. Box 100809, Toccoa Falls, Georgia 30598 in memory of Mr. M.C. Stowe.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. M.C. Stowe.
