Stacey (Hank) Welborn

Stacey “Hank” Welborn, 46, of Cornelia, GA passed away August 26, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

He was born September 4, 1968 and was the son of the late Henry Lawrence Welborn and Betty Jean Dotson Welborn.  He is survived by one brother, Timothy Stephen Welborn of Bethlehem, GA; two sisters, Teresa Kim Welborn of Bethlehem, GA, Kathy Welborn Wright and her husband Bruce of Clayton, GA; one niece, Julieanna Ellen Welborn and one nephew, Matthew Stephen Welborn and numerous extended family members.

He was an excellent cook and worked in food service for years.  He was a gifted musician and sang and played the guitar for many years.  Hank mentored many young family and friends throughout the years and inspired them to learn how to play music.  He was very resourceful and giving of himself and was willing to give anything he had to others.  He loved his family dearly, and was a faithful believer and a very honest friend to all who knew him.  Hank loved to worship and share his salvation with anyone who was open to hear it.  He adored his beloved dog, Comet and had a keen wit and sense of humor.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM Friday, August 28, 2015.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at Clayton Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Thompson and Robin Welborn officiating.  Burial will follow in Pickett Cemetery.
