Helen Marie Parker

               Helen Marie Parker, 87, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her residence.

               Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to following Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Katie Franklin will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

               Mrs. Parker was born on August 19, 1928 in Ashland, KY to the late Roy Queen and Goldie Mae Canterburry Queen. She was retired from JcPenny where she worked as a hairdresser and was a member of Pine Crest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Parker; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; special sister, Erma Jean Queen; daughter, Debbie Hodge.

               Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Riley of Flowery Branch; son, Frank Parker Jr. of Gainesville; daughter, Carolyn Parker of Flowery Branch; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sister Betty Hill of Pulaski, Ohio.
