Omar Bradley Orr

Omar Bradley Orr, 65, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Dawsonville, passed away Monday August 24, 2015.

Born October 12, 1949 to the late William and Emma Orr, he lived in Dawson County before moving to Jacksonville in 1994.  Omar was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all.  He enjoyed gardening and camping.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Virginia; son, William Bradley Ira Orr; daughter, Christie Orr; brothers, William Orr, Jr. and Gerald Orr; sisters and brother in law, Joyce Hollaway, Linda and Charles Hamby, Brenda Hyatt, Elaine Layden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday August 28, 2015 at 11 o’clock at Highlands Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Following the funeral in Jacksonville, Mr. Orr will be brought to Dawsonville where a visitation will be held Sunday August 30, 2015 from 1 until 3 at Bearden Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Sunday August 30, 2015 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Jason Hamby will officiate.  Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
