Florence Morgan Ivester

Mrs. Florence Morgan Ivester, age 67 of 101 Pantherbrook Lane, Clarkesville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Thomas Herchel “Bush” and Lucille Franklin Morgan, she was born February 24, 1948 in Rabun County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Habersham County. She owned and operated a beauty shop in her home and later worked with Fieldale Corporation. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Ray Ivester; daughter and son-in-law, Sharman and Warren Kirby of Red Hill, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Candice Ivester of Clemson, South Carolina; five grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Thacker of Mt. Airy, Georgia and Cynthia London of Lavonia, Georgia; sister-in-law, Annette Gibson and her husband, George of Turnerville, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 27, 4 O’clock PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with The Reverend Tim Holcomb and The Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Max Thacker, Swayne London, Matt London, Glenn Smith, Carl Ivester and Michael Smith.

The family will be at the home on Pantherbrook Lane and will receive friends at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Thursday from 2 PM until the service time.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Florence Morgan Ivester.
