Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday August 28, 2015 at the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Barbara Jeanine Gilstrap age 83 of Gainesville. The Rev. Wayne Norris will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Gilstrap passed away Monday August 24, 2015.
Mrs. Gilstrap was born in Hall County to the late Cary Browning Sr. and Hattie Stover Browning. She was a homemaker and a member of New Beginnings Outreach Ministries in Jefferson.
Survivors include step-children, Janice Thompson, Helen, Douglas Gilstrap, Dahlonega, Pamela Dills, Dahlonega, Michael Gilstrap, Chestnut Mountain, Lesa Jones, Cornelia, Gregory Gilstrap, Flowery Branch, grandchildren, Natasha Parson, Idaho, Jason Gilstrap, Gainesville, 14 other grandchildren, brothers, David Browning, Gainesville, Cary Browning Jr., Lula, sisters, Modelle Rich, Gainesville, Madeline Fowler, New Holland, Sherry Wiley, Lula, nephew Jay Rich, Gainesville and a number of other relatives.
