Ruth Nabors Fowler

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Ruth Nabors Fowler, age 91 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Sunday, August 23, 2015.  Mrs. Fowler was born in Nicholson, Georgia the daughter of the late James Oscar Nabors, Sr. and the late Edna Davis Nabors, was a member of the Jefferson Garden Club, Jefferson Women’s Club and the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson and was a retired secretary with Jackson County Farm Bureau.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fowler is preceded by her husband Ney Fowler, sisters; Lee Bond, Vivian Evans and Hazel Bullock, brothers; J.W., Broughton, and Bubber Nabors.

Survivors include a daughter, Reney Fowler Murdock of Troutman, N.C., Son; Ricky Fowler of Jefferson, sister; Sarah Jarrett of Danielsville.  Four grandchildren; Lynn McAllum, Krista McMillan, Randy Murdock, and Kerri Murdock Layne.  Three great grandchildren; Aaron McMillan, Parker McAllum and Ansleigh Layne.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Laskey officiating with private family burial to be held after the service.  A time of public gathering will be held 3 – 4 P.M. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waldens Cove Personal Care Home, 1442 Johnson Mill Road, Jefferson, Georgia  30549.
