Joe Brown Waldrep

Joe Brown Waldrep, 84, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

                Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

                Mr. Waldrep was born on April 29, 1931 in Gainesville to the late Joe Waldrep and Gertrude head Walrep. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. He loved his special dog Ruby.

                Mr. Waldrep is survived by his daughter, Colleen Waldrep of Independence, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Kathlynn and Robert Cote of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Joe Waldrep III and Beatrice of Pahrump, Nevada; companion, Nell Archer of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, David and Joan Waldrep of Homer; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Bill Sams of Gainesville; grandchildren, Shannon Padilla, Lauren Morris, Jordan Morris, Ryan Morris, Sean Morris and Britney Waldrep; 7 great grandchildren.

 Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
