Jerome Marshall, age 73, of Winder, GA, formerly of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mallie Marshall; sisters, Betty Vaughan, Jewel Gravitt, Jean Mayhew, Janet Clark, and Pat Maxey; and brother, Dan Marshall. Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife of fifty years, Pat Holman Marshall; children, Angela and Morris Varon, Winder, GA, and Kevin and Tanya Marshall, Winder, GA; grandchildren, Nicholas and Chloe Varon, Winder, GA, Joshua Marshall, and Jordyn Marshall; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Marshall was born April 20, 1942 in Buford, GA. He was a 1960 graduate of North Gwinnett High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked for Besco Painting Supplies and Office Depot, Lawrenceville, GA and was a member of the American Legion Post 233, Loganville, GA. He was a lifelong resident of Sugar Hill and a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church. Memorial service will be held Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Davidson officiating. Inurnment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or the National Kidney Foundation.
