James “Junior” McNeal

Obituary Date: Thursday, August 20, 2015

               Mr. James “Junior” McNeal age 61 of Gainesville passed away on Thursday August 20, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

               Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday August 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Timberidge Baptist Church with interment to follow in Timberidge Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Ruel Martin, Reverend Terry Poole and Rev. M. A. Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday August 22, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

               Mr. McNeal was born on March 18, 1954 in Gainesville, Georgia to James Winston McNeal and Louise Patterson McNeal. He was a member of Timberidge Baptist Church and was retired from the City of Gainesville where he worked as a crew chief for the water department. He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Holman (Bud) and Cleo Patterson, James McNeal, and mother-in-law, Barbara Peek Miller.

               He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cheryl McNeal of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kayla McNeal of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Trey Allen of Gainesville, grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren, Mason, and Katie McNeal, and Makenzie Allen, brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Lisa McNeal of Flowery Branch,  and nephews, Dustin and Bradon McNeal of Flowery Branch.
