Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Kenneth Leroy Blanton, age 61, of Nicholson, who passed away on Thursday August 20th, 2015. He was the son of the late Noah Lee Blanton and Ila Mae Herron Blanton. Survivors include his brothers, Thomas Herron of Douglasville, Charles Blanton of Nicholson, Ernest Blanton of Marietta, and Terry Blanton of Carrolton; sisters, Etta Forehand of Nicholson and Linda King of Atlanta; along with a number of nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Prater.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday August 21st, 2015 from 6 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 22nd, 2015 at 3 pm in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Deacon Jeff Blanton officiating.
