Edward Garrison

               Edward Garrison, 90, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

               Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Chad Buffington will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

               Mr. Garrison was born on July 26, 1925 in Gillsville to the late Bascomb Garrison and Dona Hooper Garrison. He worked at Mt. Vernon Mills and a member of Mt. Sinai Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Valworth Brownlow Garrison; son, Eddie Garrison.

               Mr. Garrison is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Sue Garrison of Fairplay, S.C.; daughter, Wanda Welch of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Leif Duguay of Gainesville and Carmen and Chad Buffington of Gillsville; sister, Ruby and Tom Benton of Monroe; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

               The family would like to thank New Horizons Limestone for the extended care of our parents, Edward and Valworth Garrison.
