Nimrod Day

Nimrod Day, 88, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Bell Minor following a period of declining health.

Born April 2, 1927 to the late Mon and Cynthia Day, he was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County.  Mr. Day worked his entire life as a farmer and blacksmith.  He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by his wife, Clydeen Day; son, Earl Day; three infant children; three sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are his daughter and son in law, Chester and James Gaddis, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Dennia Martin, Travis and Lysa Gaddis, Sylvia and Gabriel Fierro; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 21, 2015 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Dusty Holtzclaw and Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 and Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 at the funeral home.
